11th Day - Humbug

On the 11th Day of Christmas, face it friends, I was tired of making Christmas projects.   So this day brings you something I did just for myself, yup, being selffish.  This is a steampunk mini done in the Kathy fashion of faux policy evelopes made with 6x9 envies.  the paper is G45 Steampunk and there are lots of Timmy and 7 Gypsie goodness in here.  So without further ado.

9th and 10th Day of Christmas

The next 2 projects are made with the same paper line, Bo Bunny's Timepiece.  The first mini is a small paper bag mini (a Kathy design) that I made for my hubby for Christmas.  I will have pictures of our boys that he can keep in his truck, he used to carry pictures in his wallet.  If you see him lurking on this site, let me know, its still a secret, haha.  The second project is the matchbook like the Christmas one, but made with small paper bags as well.

8th Day of Christmas

This next project is another one of Kathy's.  It is made out of 6 paper bags and cardstock.  These are the bigger paper bags from Michaels, I also have taken her design and reconfigured it for the smaller paper bags.  I understand many of my friends that I have shared the measurements with have made and really like the smaller size (can't wait to see them girls).  As this is a matchbox style book I have not decorated the front, when open you flip the front to the back.  This was a challenge for me as I love to embellish, it might even be part of my DNA to embellish.

7th Day of Christmas

One day while browsing through some old videos a friend came across one that had potential.  I challanged her to figure out how to do it and she sure did.  She came up with a great mini.  Well, I don't like sitting and watching someone create, so while we were skyping I made one as well. There are  pages made of envelopes and flips and flaps galore on those pages.  Both of ours turned out very differently from each others and the original.  So without further ado, here is my take on that mini with a sampling of the pages inside.

6th Day of Christmas

I am half way through already, the time is flying towards the night the jolly ole man in the big red suit comes.  Todays project is based on a tutorial of Susie McGuire's (my own creations will be towards the end of this 12 days).  This was done using a combination of different papers in my stash.  The reason I have made so many Christmas projects this year is that said stash.  It was growing and I wasn't feeding it.  There are so many new paper lines out there and I said to my self "self, use your stuff", it was a short conversation.

5th Day of Christmas

Ok, this will catch me up from not posting yesterday.  On the fifth day of Christmas I have a gift card holder made out of an envelope, one would think I am stalking Kathy, but she had some amazing projects this season.  This holder is a great way for me to give my son a gift card and a Christmas card all in one.  Now to make another one for the other son.

4th Day of Christmas

Todays project is another Kathy Orta inspired mini using last years Bo Bunny's paper line.  I made this to house some of the many pictures of my boys skiing.  Both last year and this year, one of their Christmas gifts is a ski trip to Jasper, Alberta.  For 3 days the brothers can dare each other to extreme skiing and have some laughs (and maybe talk about mom and dad) at suppers.
